Step-by-step? Um...just Layer by Layer in Photoshop. Not unlike the step-by-step (of the DA) I have on my site. :~)

I see! I was intersted if you sketched the very original (that would be yes)and if you used any coloured pencil. The grain you have overlaid made it look like you have used colour pencil. Well, I think this is my new favourite.

I sketched out the figures directly on the Wacom with this one. (cos I was kind of in a hurry as the deadline was today and I'd gone and left it till the last minute...) And the grain you can see was from a celtic background I made a while ago and added texture to with Photoshop. (actually I originally made this one to go on the cover of Hermione's book in that DA pic!) I tend to save things like that to use in future projects. (obssessive hoarder I am! ;~P)

It took me about 5 hours. :~) Once I get into it, I'm pretty fast. (mother of 4, you know; gotta get as much done in the time you have... ;~P )
