early morning visitors

We get the Magpies every day, but look who came to visit this morning!

Spike got very excited, and was doing his territorial wing wave, but I didn't catch it in time.  So cute!


They came in for the leftover birdseed we put out for the wild birds.  They were in a nearby tree yesterday when I got home, checking us out, and this morning they decided to have a closer look!  *is squeeful*  One is female (see her clear, red eyes?) and one is male (they have brown eyes), so probably mates.  I adore the cry of Galahs, so the more the merrier.  XD

At home we get galahs, magpies, pee-wees, ibises, pigeons, little doves and crows. They pretty much eat together.

we used to have a pet galah, we had him for 29 years; sadly he died about 3 years ago. I think they are magnificent birds :)
