While most of the comments on his facebook were encouraging

(in that they called him out for what he is,)  I still can't figure out how he (and the people around him) could think it was a good enough idea to try to make it LAW.

He'll be wanting womens' genitals mutilated next!  Then hiding them under burkas.

This is really scary shit!

Why are so many men on this planet so scared and hateful of women?  And why does it manifest so virulently in Fundamentalist religions?

I don't know why so many men are so afraid of women, and women's sexuality. It's like they think if they don't place restrictions on women's bodies, that women's "voracious sexuality" will take over the world. (Horrors!) And, like countless other evils, religion is dragged in to justify it.

What's really sick is that they have more than a few female supporters, staunchly propping up "their men," not passively but actively campaigning by their sides...not to mention, who ferociously defend the most appalling sexist practices.

For instance: in cultures that practice female genital mutilation, girls who aren't mutilated are mocked by those that are. And about a century ago in China, women would line up their daughters for the foot-binding chair. Misogyny is an ugly thing, but twice as ugly when practiced by women themselves.

And I'm fucking sick of "Christians" getting all pissy when people dare to bring up their precious religion's bloody history...while at the same time feeling free to bash, say, feminists or atheists or anyone who differs from them. For people who claim to follow Christ, they have quite a knack for being exactly like the people who wanted him dead.

Georgia also has congress' most stupid politican as well, remember the idiot on guam tipping? A male democrat with the brains of a lima bean, who replaced a severely corrupt female schrew polician of similar brains to the lima bean. I have no effing idea how they get elected or why. I suspect they "know things". Political party has no bearing IMHO.

I believe most politicians are corrupt. Georgia has a special run on "stupid". If it was racial and not sexual, there would be a whole different story.

-Dunno, perhaps it's because the books are written by men. How many fundamentalist religions do you know of that are well known where the books were written by women?

In most of these cases its about money and/or power. Really, it's just money and power (control).


Why is it that Humans have the ability to create new categories to hate. If not race, then sex, if not that it's relgion, and then absent that..location or eye color.. so the it never ends. Best we can do is CYA.
