Remember that sketch I did a while ago? The one for my own fic... Well, this is what I puddled in while I was away. And a closeup of Ron so you can see his stubble properly. :~) Done using Copic Markers with finishing touches done in Photoshop.
SOOOOO CUUUUUUUUTE!!!! I love love love the mildly pleased look on Ron's have, and Hermione's so gently curious and repressing her delight. Awwwww!!! Ron is such the hottie and oh, SO very Ron. Like, the perfect Weasley boy and why'd you have to draw him so realistically, cause now I'm developing, like, MAJOR crush on him. Major. Is he real? Can I commission you to make me a real Ron, just like this? Stubble and all? *hopefuly*
And darling Hermione! It's fantastic, that -- yay!! -- you made her look, you know, like Hermione. Not beautiful, but just normal and girlish and her bushy hair and her unperfect face and YES. Because Hermione isn't about the beautiful. I love that. And I love her to bits because she's so sweet! Her little layered shirt and sweater and the quirk of her eyebrows, which just *screams* affection and the browness of her warm eyes....*happy sigh*
This is, like, totally Ron/Hermione = meant to be.
And my GOD, woman, you are an amazing artist. The realism is pleasant and interactive and happy without being, based on the movie actors, or being, like. ugly. This is the opposite of ugly realism. This is the prettiest most exquisite realism, short of a photomanip.
I really have to investigate into these...copic markers thingies. They fascinate me.
Ron's slight smirk. And his sideburns, oh GUHHHHHHH, you've destroyed me, you have. so, you'll take my commission right? make him real??
The Markers - you'll love I think. I really enjoy working with them. But don't forget the colourless blender! That IMO is the most important one to get (not that you'll see it without the others). With it you can bleed colours together and lose that hard, tell-tale edge that markers have.
As for making a Ron... well, I've made 3 boys and that's enough for me! ;~P
