fuckwits who like to SPOIL start young...

My 10yo daughter came home from school this afternoon with the wonderful news that some delightful little TWAT had spoiled the book for her (and the rest of the class)! This after several members of the class said very loudly that they did not want to hear or be spoiled.

I am ludicrously angry about this. Maybe because the same thing happened to her when OotP came out.

Moral of the story is, I guess, to make sure my daughter gets the next book read in the first couple of days like me.

My younger son hasn't been spoiled yet, so I'm off to read to him (this is the first of the HP books he's actually been keenly reading himself) so he can hopefully get it read before one of the little 'darlings' in his class decide to ruin it for everyone else!

Oh, that makes me so mad! Sympathies to your daughter. What a little bitch, that classmate.

My friend (my friend!) did that to me deliberately when I was just short of finishing the third book. Still bitter to this day.

UGH! What a little sod! I hate people like that, I really do. *punches the spoiling kid*

There were people like that in fandom, posting this shit that just spoilt it for the unsuspecting. I clicked on a link that I had no idea had spoilers and saw a major spoiler by accident. It made me want to bleach my brain and stab my eyes out. I was so pissed off.

not fair....I had that happen......someone ran past the line up on Saturday and shouted out that Snape killed Dumbledore.....evil git....if I wouldn't have lost my place in the line up I would have chased him down.
There are always those few who like to ruin it for the rest of us...and we can't really do a lot to stop them most of the time :-(

What a punk kid! Man... I would totally be just as pissed off.

Want me to cut a bitch?

That really sucks. Kids can be so mean. I do hope your son manages to stay spoil free until he finishes the book.

Kids can be so fucking obnoxious :( I don't know where some of them get this idea that it's really funny to make life difficult/uncomfortable for everyone else. I'm so sorry :(

I guess the only solution is like you said, to read it as fast as possible...I stayed up all night and read the thing cover to cover...but I mean, kids can't really do that...and they have to go to school, i guess.

Hang on though...aren't your kids in summer vacation?

No, it's winter here. ;~) They started term 3 a week and a half ago.

Well, I read the book in one night for that reason, but I really hoped my kids would be able to survive a bit longer. And they were so keen to read it themselves... and that's supposed to be what it's all about, isn't it? Getting kids to want to read.

I hate kids liks that. It's like those brats who go around telling all the believers that there's no Santa Clause. *sigh*

Oo, where are you? I guess you're an Aussie? (Since you're speaking English and it's Winter there?)

Well, hopefully they'll still be psyched to read it...and that's true, it has gotten SO many kids to read...

Fun :) So then, your kids have their bigger break from school in like, November? December?

Yeah, the summer/xmas holidays start about the 20th December and they start the next school yr on the 27th Jan. Sadly, February is usually our hottest month, so the poor kids get to go back to school and fry. :~\
