the Boy Who Lived WIP 7

ALMOST almost finished!! Only one more session to go and I'm pretty sure it'll be all done! YAY!

Today was spent adding the patterns to their cloaks, as you can see, and I put their glasses on!

And that poor baby's forehead...! :~( It felt quite tragic marring it with that awful scar. Hard to see it properly in these photos, but I can assure you it's there. (check out the previous closeups and compare; you can see that Harry's formerly perfect brow is now no longer perfect.) And I had to make it look like a fresh wound too. Poor wee mannie. :~(

Now I'll leave it for a couple of days - to dry, and decide what's left to be done. Dumbledore's hair will have some work added to it, but we'll see what else needs doing when I've had time to look at it with fresh eyes. :~)

Nevertheless, it is almost finished!!

Beyond beautiful... to see the pulchritude of "Boy Who Lived" was all it needed to make me go right now to the mall, buy some paint and stuff and paint the room where your oil painting "Coffee for Three" will be exhibited. The wall will be clean and light up waiting for its precious. :)

Omg this is SO GOOD! Detailed and everything! Just cannot wait to see finished version.
But the second thought was McGonagall. She looks old, isn't she?

I adore Your art :).

I'm loving the shapes of things - the heads in particular and the facial features. It's great, also, to see the details on their robes. Thank you so much for teaching us this intricate painting process! : )

Yay, their glasses, their glasses. And wonderful ornaments on their cloaks, too. I love this!

Ohhhh...

SO wonderful!

I've been an enormous fan of your works for a while, but just discovered your LJ. The tutorial was WONDERFUL. I loved watching the painting take shape. (Hoping for a marker one, too; the proposal pic was amazing, and I'd love to see how you work with those.)

In awe of your talent and the sheer volume of work you produce. Creativity amongst children is an interesting balancing act, isn't it?

Thank you for sharing your work. I just wanted to let you know that it brightens my day! :)

Love, LB (prolific fanfic author, rather mediocre artist, and Mommy of two)

Wow! Thanks so much for linking to your WIP's. I love the final result and I love seeing how it all came about.
