Oops, when I got your comment back this morning, I mentioned it to my brother, and he said that it wasn't gin, it was vodka! Fifty-six years old and the memory is gone... Anyway he remembers because my father wanted to use her vodka to mix some drink for company and she wouldn't let him because she used such cheap stuff for her painting. I'm not sure what difference it would make. I imagine that the alcohol is the active ingredient and the fact that it's colorless. But I thought I'd better mention it to you.
