Back online at last! Only took 3 days to rebuild our comp. O.o Then, checking my emails, I see there's an alert to the JKwebsite thread at the Sugarquill, so I went in to see if anything had happened while I was away. And guess what? The virus or whatever it was that caused our crash on Sat night is in the forums at the SQ. And yes, it tried to take over my comp again. Fortunately I seem to have caught it quickly enough this time!

So just be careful if you plan on visiting the SQ. There's a thread about it here -

Just wanted to let everyone know - I am currently without Internet. :~( Made a special trip to the local Internet Cafe to tell you that my computer had a major conniption fit on Sat night, which we're still trying to fix. I didn't want you thinking I'm ignoring you if I'm not answering your emails! ;~P

Fortunately we seem to be able to get the comp to work as long as it's not connected to the Net, and we're currently (very slowly) copying all our files (80gigs worth!) onto one of those portable hard drives, just so we can make sure we have a backup in case the worst happens and the comp dies completely.

Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back online! (I'm suffering withdrawal already! ;~P) And fandom - please don't do anything exciting, cos you know how I hate to miss the fun!!
HUGS to you all!

I have no computer. :~( (I'm writing this on my Mum's comp) It crashed yesterday and we're still waiting to see what we can and can't recover.

*twitches from internet withdrawal*

So if you've emailed me and wondered why I haven't replied, I'm not being rude. I'm just currently cut off! :~\

Sketched this for my own fic yesterday, when telstra (who just happens to be Australia's BIGGEST internet provider) was down for several hours. *kicks telstra*
Not sure if it's worth finishing...  I have issues with Hermione's hand, but it was surprisingly difficult to get her finger looking right without it looking like she was sticking it up his nose!  *smirks*

Remember that challenge [livejournal.com profile] fiendling  posted a while back?  The AU HP at War.  Yeah, well, I was this close to being finished.  This close!  Had to close the file last night for family (how inconsiderate of them, eh? Demanding their mother's time!  pfft!) and now my computer won't open it!!!  Says I don't have enough memory.  *weeps*  I mean, WTF?  It wasn't telling me that yesterday!

Anyway, I decided to post this so you can see I was working on it!  And I will finish it as soon as I can *kick* sort *kick* out *kick* my *kick* stupid computer.

Oh yeah... I went for the Jedi theme.  Well, come on, this is ME.  You expected something else?

*kick computer again just for the heck of it*

Just successfully ‘burned’ my first CD-ROM.  WHOO HOO!  Go me!  Folio printout here I come at last.  :~D

Yes, our computer-clever buddy came and installed a DVD burner last night.  *drools*  Heheheh.  So much scope for the imagination….  And, best of all, I’ll now be able to ‘save’ all those insanely large (200meg anyone?) art files.  Such a relief.  I cannot begin to describe how stressed and paranoid I have felt not being able to save them off.  The thought of being robbed and losing all my work…

But at least that’s not a problem anymore!  *grovels at feet of computer buddy*

My Mum is feeling a little better, thank goodness.  She was vomiting continuously till Friday morning, but they finally got her stabilised and she’s home again.  Still not feeling great, but much better than she was at least.

Wicked Muse is bombarding me with images of swim-suited Hogwarts students.  A little thing which [livejournal.com profile] glockgal alerted me to.

Itching to draw…

Finished that window frame today.  Feeling good about that.  :~)  Stencilled nice celtic patterns onto it and have received very positive responses from the rest of the family.  Now I have to think of something to do with the kitchen walls that will match it...  Currently contemplating going all out and doing a sky ceiling!  It's such a crappy old, little kitchen, painting it like that will take my (and everyone else's) mind off it's crappiness.  And keep my creativity active.

Got two of the kids home tomorrow plus minding one extra. *glares at school*  Fecking 'pupil free days'.  Then ALL the schools are going on strike on Wednesday!  Bastards.

On a brighter note...

NEW COMPUTER!  *does Happy Dance*  Better...stronger...faster... *cue 6million$Man music*  Gah!  Now I'm really showing my age.  Now I'm learning to drive said computer.  Looking forward to being able to run Painter on this one!!!
