Aww Ron, you're just angry because your sister has far shinier hair than you do. :D In all seriousness leelastarsky, I love the luminosity in your work. Every single piece of fanart you do has some light shining out of the characters, it's really amazing the eyecatching effect it has. It makes them look all so happy and content, as if they're in another world, a less dangerous and sacrificing world than the one they inhabit perhaps.
Just one thing that really grabbed me about this picture in particular is Ginny's age. She looks so young there. I remark on it because I find that your female characters are usually so mature and grown up, very much an early 20s-"I've been through some scary shyte so give me a damn drink already" sort of look. But here, she still radiates innocence and youth. I suppose it's a mechanism for when she wants to sneak around a bit, spunkrat that she is. Harry still looks slightly angsty though. I think it suits him; gives him a nice manly look and I bet he thinks it's a valuable substitute for his lack of prominent stubble. Whee to making up stuff about fictional characters.
It seems this comment could be summarised with: I need a life and your art is, as always, good.
Thanks for the great comment! It's always interesting to hear the response my illos garner. While a lot of it depends on what the author asks for, I'm glad to hear you enjoy my interpretations!
Gorgeous work! I loved the the Weasley hair and the way you portrayed the fabric for Ginny and Harry's clothing. Your coloring and use of light is beautiful. Brilliantly done!
Beautiful! Ron and Ginny's fiery hair stands out brilliantly against the background. I LOVE the positioning of both Ginny's and Harry's hands (especially Harry's on Ginny's bum.) ;) Ginny's scrunched-up skirt is a nice touch too.
As others have also said, I love the added expressions of Ron and Hermione in the background. Hermione is THE one to be able to calm Ron down and remind him it's *only* Harry he's getting all worked up over - "No big deal!" :D
Great drawing, although, like other commentators, I find myself almost more interested in Ron and Hermione at the rear than the principal couple. Hermione looking so earnestly at Ron, trying to get his attention; her expression is lovely. I like your Ginny, though, she looks very 'real'.
This is amazing....has to be one of the best I've seen from you. You always take such care about details. I love the Cauldron itself. The lines and the shades simply wonderful. Tender close up of Harry & Ginny too.
Something about this appeals to my childhood. New love, jealousy, public displays of affection, overprotectiveness... You have a way of making art meaningful rather than just... well, pretty. Which it is; don't get me wrong!
I love it. I adooore it. If you don't start producing at a faster and more prolific rate than you already do, I might shoot you/myself.
