I love your take on the characters! I was touched that even so ill and in so much distress Han was concerned about Leia feeling humiliated in her slave girl getup.
Han's rescue has always bothered me -- forget that the action sequences are, ah, somewhat less than successful, it just seems unlikely that Han could recover so quickly from being frozen. I like the strategy you adopt in your stories of proceding from the assumption that everything takes longer than it seems. It works: such successful re-imaginings!
