A deliberate homage to the film noir posters of the forties and fifties. Copic marker and gouache on watercolour stock, with the text and borders added in Photoshop.
This looks fantastic. You've really done a great job in recalling the old film posters of the Golden Age. I went and googled a few to freshen my memory and think you did a great job. A lot of them seem to have that "two scene" thing going on. That is, they have one picture of the couple and then another picture of some other element of the story and both are incorpirated in the poster. I also love the bright, almost garish title splashed across the front. Now all you really need is some random disembodied heads pasted on there and a cheesy tag-line!
