I was seriously considering buying a permanent account when they come up for offer in June.  But if half my flist is leaving LJ, what would be the point?

Please let me know if you're planning to leave or stay to help me make up my mind?

I'm currently undecided.

I'm waiting to see if LJ takes action and brings back the sites that didn't deserve to be suspended.

Though I still may decide to leave. I'm just not comfortable remaining to an organization that listens to a group affiliated with hate groups.

I totally agree. But I also think that LJ didn't have much of an option in this case. Those folks pushed all the right ToS buttons to cause the most impact. Internet terrorism of a sort. I'm not afraid to admit that right-wing religious fascists scare the crap out of me.

fuckit! I have tried 3 x to post this! LJ is fucked today!

I have no problem with them pulling pedophiles' journals. However, I do have a bit of a problem with the fact that people have proven cases where they alerted LJ to these journals and LJ ignored them. Now that their ads are threatened (and just threatened as far as we know no one pulled any ads) they start a mass deletion. It's taken over 24 hours for them to say, "Hey we're sorry we fucked up and suspended some wrong journals. Here you go. You can have them back?"

A lot of people have been standing up to these types of groups. Myspace for one. OMG did I just say something positive about Myspace?!?! lol

Those groups scare the hell out of me too. I've silently boycotted so many other organizations that have caved to there people. I can't be hypocritical and not do it in this case.
