New Dr Who

Hahahaha!  Fanboyhubby just saw the photo of the new Dr Who and flipped out!  He thinks they need to go with someone older again, and I have to agree.  *still clings to hope that they'll give it to Brian Blessed one day*  This one looks too much like Tennant IMO. *ducks outraged Tennant fans.*  What with the hair and the suit.  That might change, I guess, but  I think they should have gone with someone completely different. 

Of course I'll watch it anyway.  ;~)

I'm a Tennant fan, and I agree with you. I would have liked to see someone completely different, like Chiwetel Ejiofor(sp?) or Robert Carlyle (okay, maybe he's not completely different, but I just like him:). But we'll see. Who knows? Maybe he'll be good.

I have to agree. The new doctors seem to be getting younger and younger. Tennant was a good actor. His appearance bothered me. I think he was and is anorexic. Yes, men have the disorder too. So he was sometimes distracting in his role.

This new one has kind of a cheeky look to him. Bit of slyness that might help him in the role. Any word on a side kick?

I just got into Who, but from what understand, the Doctor has 13 lives total, so 12 regenerations.

I've not seen anything the new guy is in so I'm waiting till I see how he does before I make my judgement. I also think it will depend a lot on how they write him. I think that's what makes them different.

He is very young.

We were up late last night anyway but we ended up staying awake another hour so we could see who was announced.

I liked both Chris and David and thought they did well with the character so I'm willing to give this guy a go.

Do NOT like his hair - at all. >.< It's terrible. I've been saying he got his hair style from A Flock of Seagulls but someone else said they'd start calling him A Flock of Timelords. :))) :))) Love it.
