In West Texas, we had to dust a lot because of the dust storms we had in the spring. I can remember that the windowsills were brown!
I'd rather have the warning. I've had everyone get into the closet (cupboard) under the stairs many times when the sirens were going off because of a possible tornado only to be told it was not a big deal, etc. I'd rather be prepared and have time to get the animals into the shelter with us. Glad it wasn't bad.
