[livejournal.com profile] angelicvampyre brought to me...

Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington!
(he's a very British budgie!) ;~D

He was this close to being called Charles Emerson Winchester, but fanboyhubby was not content cos Charles was Bostonian rather than British. So youngest son suggested Sir Nicholas, and Sir Nick he is! (hopefully he'll not end up Nearly Headless!)

We call them parakeets in the states. It's been so long since I had them. Not since I was a kid. But I loved them. Beautiful colors.

Can any on yours talk?

If he does end up headless, you could always duct tape the head on like Jim Carey did in "Dumb and Dumber". I'm just sayin'.

You know there is always something about looking at these guys and going, I did that! I put x with y and I did that! I can remember this guy when he was a featherless bub and his mommy abandoned him and I had to put him in with Lemon (my blind girl) I found my records the other day and yeah there he was!

Hee! I love the little puffy face. He looks a lot like my friend's budgie Snowy that she had when we were kids!
