This is a gift for my very first international fangirl buddy (1983!!!), Sherilyn, whose love for the Malfoys - Lucius in particular - flows undaunted. ;~D

Lucius, Narcissa, and Draco.

Narcissa was based on a mix of Juliet Landau (who will always be Bellatrix in my mind) and Jenny Agutter.
Lucius is of course Jason Isaacs and Draco a slightly aged up Tom Felton.

Joyous Yule, Sheri!

*goggles* Astounding. The level of detail is exceptional. I love the color scheme and the facial expressions!

Thanks! I was rather proud of the celtic patterns on Draco's collar, because I drew them freehand! (without reference) Yay, go me. LOL! XD

oh wow... Thats simply amazing. Its so detailed and accurate. And Narcissa is perfect, just as I imagined her to be. I never thought of Juliet Landau as Bellatrix, but it really fits... ^_^ Beautiful job.

Thanks! Yeah, just 'hearing' the way Bella talked in OotP - particularly the way she taunted Harry in the atrium of the MoM - she sounded exactly like Drusilla to me. ;~P

What a great drawing. I think you've captured the family very well. I love the detail (especially on the robes) and the expressions are just about perfect.

Thanks for sharing

this is great. You're Lucius and Draco are absolutely lifelike. So's your Narcissa, she reminds me of one of the life coaches on Starting Over. Great job.

Oh - wonderful, haughty look around Lucius's mouth; they all have a fantastic superior look. Really nice portrait!

I'm usually not one for the Malfoys but Guh. They are all so beautiful and arrogant. And I loooove the details on their robes, they look very expensive and classy. Great job!

Thankyou! Yes, the detail on their robes was very much a case of 'less is more'. ;~)

I love: their expressions, even their portrait looks down on the rest of the wizarding world; the robes, great detail, Celtic knot-work, wonderful touch; how Narcissa looks just a little bit tired, as if evil is taking its toll on her...

Bravo!

Yes, they are the epitome of arrogance. ;~)
Glad you liked it!

Brilliant, as always! I love the little details you've put in here, like the embellishment on the collars for the men and on the decollatage of Narcissa's top. I still marvel that you do this with markers; it's so clean-looking!

BTW, am adding this pic to my Narcissa rec page as I adore your interpretation of her here!

This pic was not done with Markers - this one was done in PhotoShop.
Glad you liked the pic though, particularly my vision of Narcissa. :~D

What I love best about this is the snotty attitude on Draco's face. And, of course, the quality of the artwork is stunning, as always.

From: [identity profile] lizardspots.livejournal.com

That's incredible, my dear! They're all so blond and haughty *LOL* The hair is AMAZING - I can never get light hair to look right, but it looks so smooth and touchable here! I love that they all have their faces slightly tilted up, like they're looking down their noses at you. Narcissa is perfect! I've never had much of an idea what she looks like in my head, but this is fantastic - beautiful, sleek, and very slightly creepy. :P Her arched eyebrows are so prefectly Malfoy hee! Also love the detals on their clothes! Very snazzy and posh.

Merry Christmas! :D

Thanks so much! The 'looking down their noses' thing is what I most wanted to convey, so I'm really glad to know that came across. :~D

From: [identity profile] seviet.livejournal.com

Man, they are so snotty. :D I love the clothes here - they fit them. I like particularly the patterns on their shirts. Good job. :)

And yes, Landau/Drusilla is totally Bellatrix. :)

Thanks so much!!

I'm sure Drusilla was the inspiration for Bella. ;~)

I think what surprised me most about Narcissa in this pic was how much Draco looked like a mix of her and Lucius; he really looks like their son!

From: [identity profile] bellushichka.livejournal.com

What can I say other than what's already been said? ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! They're all so PERFECT. Draco is gorgeous - I don't see the aged-up Tom Felton as much, but he has a wider face and softer nose than Tom, and that's more of what I envision Draco to look like. You also did an excellent job with the hair and the highlights, and the little bit of red is an unusual (but more realistic) touch. Bravo!

From: [identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com

Oh, lovely! Yeah, they look completely odious in that "we're so rich you shouldn't even dare speak to us" way!

From: [identity profile] khames.livejournal.com

Um. Wow. WOW. :O
Leela, I think this is one of your best yet- and that's saying something, since I think it's all utterly fantastic. Lucius is absolutely spot on, and I love the rich feel of the cloak he's wearing- that velvet robe in sharp contrast to the shiny embroidery (and I just now noticed his pin too- it was a bit hidden from the name ;D). I love how he's also got that barely visible blood red lining to the color- emphasized by the background. It's amazing the personality that you've given each of them, all with their noses slightly up (Draco's especailly XD) and the barely visible 'better-than-thou' sneer adorning their faces. The -hair- is absolutely fantastic too- that wide range of colors (I'm spotting some gray/blue and red hints) that just accent it so much. It all looks so soft and touchable. I just want to run my fingers through Lucius's especially. What also really caught my eye, and actually one of the first things I noticed, was Draco's collar. That Celtic design is out of this world. :O I must say though, Draco's kind of reminding me of Luke Skywalker :D Maybe it's just that I'm seeing this on your journal and Luke's right there in the background though. ;) Anyway, I should shut up now. Just wanted to tell you how much I absolutely love this. <3 And Merry Christmas too dear!

*wacks khames for thinking ObiWan is Luke Skywalker* ;~D But seriously, thanks! Thanks for such a juicy review!! As for the Draco/Luke Skywalker thing, I think it's the hairdo - it's very similar to Luke's in the first film. Just not quite as long. ;~)
I'm also thrilled that the celtic patterns on their collars has been so well received; they were a last minute addition and seemed appropriate, you know?

Wow. That is GREAT. Their expressions are so haughty and "holier-than-thou" - they're perfect.

Bravo!
