Mugglenet Wizard Cards

Today's offering is Bellatrix from OotP - the scene in the MoM where she taunts him "Aaaaaah... did you love him, little baby Potter?"

and Tom Riddle. :~) Again a deliberate similarity in pose to Harry, to emphasise the links between the two. Their eyes are opposite colours, which is rather interesting. ;~)

Both of these were completely CG.

Harry and James.

Yipes! These have the potential to give me nightmares!

But they are amazing - I love your work!

Bella is particularly creepy, but I think you captured the whole insanity/lost her looks in Azkaban thing really, really well. Like that one you showed of Luke the other day, it's all about the eyes. They truly are the windows to her soul ... or lack thereof.

Thanks! I'm glad I was able to covey her craziness.
And eyes are my favourite part... ;~)

Bellatrix is seriously seriously creepy here. I can just about see those words coming out of her mouth. You've captured her perfectly - crazed but just sane enough to be really scary. And of course Riddle also rates quite high on my wierd-o-meter. I like the parallels between the three darkhaired charismatic main characters.

They kinda made Bella look a little like a Psyco Nicole Kidman. I think it's the teeth.

*drops dead from the terror*

Seriously...for Bella...you need a warning for her LJ-cut, dude! She is so fantastically freaky, oh wow wow wowwwwww.

My goodness, the Bellatrix one is brilliant! One scary looking lady, particularly given that that little stick gives her the power to cripple or kill one.

It's a pain being an Australian, sometimes; I hate these ISP limits. I'm now 'shaped' to 72kb/sec also; happened only two-thirds through the month this time! Ugh. When I lived in the USA there were no limits whatsoever; it's frustrating being back home in that respect.

Thanks! :~)

The annoying thing with Telstra is that they have the gall to call this particular broadband plan "UNLIMITED". O.o

Do they really? Bloody marketing speak, can't trust anything these days.

(I hope you don't work in marketing!)

I'm with Westnet, so at least I know what I signed up for. I still wish I knew why we Australians have to have a limit, though; I don't think the Americans have one (I left the USA in 2002) and I suspect the Europeans also don't have limits. Too small a population here having to pay for the overseas connections?

I think the *REAL* gall is how everyone in Australia uses the term 'broadband' even though I reckon most of it is way too slow to merit the term. I just googled for 'broadband' to check the veracity of my case and Wiki and others reckon that broadband is 'faster than primary rate ISDN, at 1.5 to 2 Mbit/s.'. I'd say most Australians are under that, but still signed up with a 'broadband' deal. All I know is, most times I try to watch something streaming in real-time (like the GoF premiere) it was practically unwatchable, lots of stop-start stuff. :-(

That sounds a lot like mine... they call it broadband, but it's only half the speed of actual broadband. So bloody typical of these big companies here in Australia. And what makes it worse, you don't have much to choose from :s
Back on topic, FANTASTIC job! You captured Bella really well - I jumped a little in fright when I first saw it! That woman freaks me out lol.
And Tom looks like pure evil - which we all know he is, of course! Wow... well done!

*cowers* very scarry! *hides behind mother*

YES! This is exactly how I see Bella! Mad as a hatter, like she's actually be to prison, and clearly once beautiful. Truely excellent!

I like the Tom one too...the creepy red eyes, red bloches on the picture, and yet the innocent school boy uniform (man, there was nothing innocent about this kid). Very cool.

That Bella is wonderful... you can tell she must have been attractive at some point... but now she is just creepy. :D The eyes are especially well done. Great job!

I like how you made Tom look so - diabolical.

Bella's facial expression is great, but doesn't she have dark eyes?

Your Bellatrix is *scary* but that's good. And I think your Bellatrix is so much closer to what I picture as "canon" Bellatrix rather than the dominatrix that so many other artists make her out to be.

And I think Tom Riddle looks like he's going to steal my soul.

From: [identity profile] andshehopes.livejournal.com

Your Bellatrix is completely spot on. Good job! Honestly. Just wow. You've an amazing talent that I can't help but be jealous of. I think she looks a lot like Alanis Morisette. :D
