This painting is the first of a three part series that I'm doing for [livejournal.com profile] belovedranger. This one is for her story Something Borrowed, in which Ron and Hermione get married at the Nook, surrounded by family and friends.

The people surrounding them are -
On the left-hand side - Bill and Fleur, Molly, and Arthur.
On the right- George and Fred, Harry, and Ginny.
(there are more present at the Wedding of course, but limited space on the paper! ;~) )

This pic was rendered using watercolours, Copic markers, gouache and acrylic.
Planning to post a proper tutorial using this pic as a wip in the near future. For those of you who would be interested. ;~)

This is so lovely! I adore all the leaves and Ron's outfit, rowr! Totally hot :D I adored the wedding in Linda's story and this is a great picture to go with it.

LOL.. wait 'til you see the *next* piece she's doing for me. Right after the wedding, on the train.. still in those clothes, sort of... : ) Hee.

I love this art, too. It is fabulous!

It's very beautiful. I loved how the autumn background mixed in with Ron, Hermione, and everybody else. :)

Thanks! When I post the wip tutorial on this you'll see how the autumn leaves really brought the painting to life. ;~)

I really love the whole flow of this art - from the boughs of the trees to the falling leaves. I love their clothing and those faces! The bliss and pride is so evident.

Thank you so much!

I'm so glad you like it! There are subtle details on Hermione's dress, and to some extent on Ron's suit, which were done with a paint that doesn't reproduce in a scan. So only you will get to see that! ;~)

What a joyful scene :). I'm searching for a word to describe how much I'm enjoying the color scheme you've created for it, but I'm at a loss for words, I'm so touched by this picture. *thunderous applause*

This is absolutely gorgeous! I'm not a R/Hr shipper, but I love the happiness on their faces--all the facial expressions are wonderful. Thanks for sharing your work.

Great to hear that you could enjoy the painting despite not liking the pairing! :~D

I saw this as a sketch over at CM a few weeks ago and have been dying to see the finished art. And wow, it's beautiful! Everything is amazing but, I know this might sound odd, I love Hermione's chin and the folds in Ron's trousers the most.

A tutorial would be a blessing to young drawers like myself. You're such an artistic idol of mine, so I would be ecstatic to see the process you go through. =)

Great to hear that you enjoyed this painting! I've just posted another in this series, and the tutorial I mentioned is up too, if you're interested. :~)

This ….just. It's a good drawing, yeah, but there's something else. It's like… the Happy is radiating off the page and making me go all gooey :D hehe

Oh, thankyou! What a lovely description! I do try to express the characters feelings in a painting, so I'm very happy that I was successful here. :~) Thanks for taking the time to comment!

I never comment on your art, I always view it, and I really wanted to say I love this. So this is traditional media, you say? Amazing.

I would be very interested in a tutorial!

I love your Weasley family. All the characters, especially Arthur are more like what I imagined them to be like than the films.

Absolutely adore this.

Awwwwwww!

Ron looks so noble in that coat. :) (I think he appreciates he doesn't have to wear frilly dress robes to his own wedding... *heh*)

Such a lovely pic. I like the warm colours - of course, red is a given when it comes to Weasleys... ;)
