Blah...blah...blah...again

This painting was done for the gallery of Sleeping Wizards that's planned at Prophecy.  (I'm not entering the competition btw)



I've been working on this one a lot longer than I should have, and really hope it's come out looking like Jo!  I've been looking at it/her for too long now, and can't tell.  :~P  And I spent a ridiculous amount of time on the necklace!  *cough*a day*cough*  I tried medieval, I tried Tudor (ducks shocolate ).  spoonjosh , I know we talked about giving her LOTR style jewellery, but it just didn't work.  So I ended up just going with something simple, which I'm not entirely happy with, but it was the only thing that went with the rest of the painting.  :~\

I know everyone has probably had their say on the topic of JK's views already, but I had to weigh in too.

I am regularly appalled by the... what's the word? ...Worship? of the skinny, androgenous, pre-pubecent figure. Of magazines promoting wafer-thin sexless bodies as the ideal for girls and boys to set as a goal. But it is a ludicrously unachievable goal as this ( ludicrous advertising demonstrates )
