Yesterday, as well as the 2 galahs (Molly and Arthur) visiting, we also had some Eastern Rosellas -

Then, this afternoon, just as the kids were coming home, I noticed 2 galahs waiting in the tree next door -

and then looked up to see -

on our TV aerial!

Waiting for us to go inside so they could feed safely.  :~D

I think the feed tray I put out might be crowded soon...

Showed hubby your birdy pics/vids last night and now he wants to move to Australia;) He raised cockatiels when he was a teenager and thought Spike was quite adorable.

So Pretty!

Makes me wanna whistle "Pretty Bird!"... and I definitely think Sirius must've been hiding out in Australia - these birds and the ones you posted a couple of days ago are just the sort that JKR must've been alluding to in Goblet of Fire! No wonder Hedwig was jealous!

Wonders if Ms. Starsky did any canoodling with Mr. Black while he was hanging out in her lovely country? (I know, I know - sorta woulda been hard with Mr. Starsky and all the little Starsky's hanging around too... But hopes that this might inspire you to do a little drawing for the 'fandom'... )

Thanks for sharing!

I feel exceptionally lucky living where I do! We have the big parrots fly by several times a day and the trees are full of rosellas. :~)

Heh. I doubt you'd find an Aussie who didn't agree that this is a brilliant country to live in! ;~)

Spike is my first experience of a cockatiel and what a wonderful experience it is turning out to be! He wasn't hand-raised, so it's especially exciting when he does something like he did tonight, and chooses to come to me and get on my hand without me asking him to. Makes you feel all warm and giddy. XD

Re: So Pretty!

I always wondered that too! And like to think it was. ;~)

Hopefully I'll be working on something 'fandomy' very soon!
