Why are they so determined to take us back to the Dark Ages?  This bewilders and terrifies me.

That is terrifying. Thanks for the heads up, I hadn't heard about this before.

That second article is amazing - has he posted part 3 yet?

This goes hand-in-hand with Republican candidate John McCain's refusal to comment on whether or not it's okay for insurance companies to cover Viagra but not birth-control pills. The GOP's reasoning is that one is to treat a medical condition while the other is a life-style choice...but clearly they have no clue of the fact that many women take birth-control pills (myself included except for the moment) to treat menstruation-related conditions.

Don't get me started!

Because they are Republican men. They do not want to know how your hoo-ha works, and do not try to tell them.

Wow...and Yikes! How thick do people have to be, really to buy all of this shit? Do they really think that the world would be a better place with half of the population unable to feed themselves due to overpopulation, and the other half working twice as hard to support them? Why do people insist on trying to control what other people do? I am perfectly happy to have my two girls, and I do not ever feel the need to have any more. Why does this make me a bad person? At least I don't have to resort to "abortion" now because my husband had a vascecotomy. Anyway, I'm rambling, but I'm kinda pissed, and I tend to ramble when I'm pissed.

What idiots. I guess they would prefer people get pregnant, have kids they dont want, neglect them, then the kids grow up to be criminals.

Pretty scary.

I have a question though. If all abortion is not allowed, what happens in the case of miscarriage (a polite term for spontaneous abortion)? Can the women be held for involuntary mansalughter?

Gosh what a heap of crap, I can't believe people are actually so thick and weak-willed and cruel! They don't want people not to have babies, but they won't take care of said babies after they've been born, will they? It's so worrying that people of that mindset actually hold so much power. They ought to be the lunatic fringe...

That second article was good - obviously biased and angry, but oh so much more sane and sensible than whatever sh*t is going down in your country at the moment. The worst thing is the pseudoscience they always invent to support their views. My sympathies! ... actually it's horripillatingly scary. Keep on fighting!

Good grief. I cannot understand how these people appear to exclusively focus on what other people do with their lives, and try to interfer and regulate these other people, up to the point of allowing professionals to refuse other people's treatment and medicines according to their own "religious" definitions of whatever they like. Somehow, their understanding of Christianity escapes me.

Thanks for posting these. That second article is excellent, I should re-post it in my blog.
