Our new baby loves the shower. She sits on the bottom (in the finer spray) with a look of "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! This is the life!" on her face.

See how pretty and sparkly she looks, not to mention blissed out! XD

Daughter covered the plughole briefly so the water level rose a bit, allowing Evie to bath as well.

She is incredibly cute!

My cockatiel would only bathe in his water dish.

We'd put down a bowl or a sacer of water for him and he'd just glare at it until we removed it!

LOL! Cockatiels are so funny. I adore mine. I made a foraging toy for them out of millet and newspaper and you'd swear I'd put the Monstrous Cockatiel Gobbling Beastie in their cage! The thing was half the size of my fist, yet it was panic all over and flee the cage! the minute I opened it. So the toy was removed, and all was well. Though still wary in case it came back. XD

Aw...she is so cute! How did you get her try the mist shower? I've had a bird before.

We took her into the bathroom while my daughter was in the shower. Evie checked out the shower and decided it was fun! Every time we tried to take her out, she just flew back in and landed on the floor of the bath. :~)

Aww, you should send these in to Cute Overload. She's adorable. :-)

awwwww
I remember years ago when our little budgie loved the shower too! Used to sit on the top of the rod and watch then fly to hubbies shoulder to catch the spray:)

That is SO CUTE! I didn't know they loved the water. Awww, I want one!

ooh...:) This brings me back. I used to have a little parakeet that would sit in the shower with me. She loved it too :) I miss her tons, makes sure you keep that sweet little bird away from racoons!

We don't have raccoons here in Australia but, yes, I am vigilant about all my birdies. While they do get outside time when the weather allows (in their cages), they live inside. ;~)

Your new baby is just adorable!! *squeee* So pretty, too. I would LOVE to have a Quaker parrot (is that the correct name - they have a few, I think) but they are illegal in the state where I live. Evidently, it is believed there is a risk of loose pets forming wild colonies that would endanger agriculture. I'm rather miffed. I wondered why I had never seen any here for sale. That is the one bird I've always wished I could have - and wouldn't you know I happen to live in one of the about 8 states where they are not allowed.

We visited the pet store last night and saw the most adorable Sun Conure. He so wanted to come out and play with the people. :D

Right - I had read about it when I found out the law, and learned that there are Quaker colonies that have formed from escaped pets - even as far north as New Jersey, since they seem to be very hardy birds - so I wasn't disputing that. But the reports I read also said that their breeding habits were to stay close to the site where they were born, and to return there to breed, so that there was not really any truth in the fear that they would spread far and wide. Also it said they really do not damage crops. And oooh - I would love to see them wild here! :DD How awesome that you have them there. ^.^

I'm hoping to get a sun conure in the relatively near future! I've had one on order since last Nov. but sadly the breeder lost her house and all the birds she was hand-raising in the Black Saturday bushfires Feb 09. She had some eggs hatching recently, so I'm still in line!

This little Quaker parrot was not planned, but daughter has had a soft spot for them since seeing them on youtube, and then we fell in love with this little girl at a bird fair recently. She makes the CUTEST noises! She literally purrs when she gets a cuddle. I really have to post some more vids of her.

Very cute, indeed. Love the name you've chosen for her.

Despite unrest at us bringing home ANOTHER bird, the rest of the family have fallen madly in love with this little girl. She is personality PLUS. XD
