I has them!  :~)

I haven't had a fishtank going for over 20yrs!  So this handmedown tank I got from [livejournal.com profile] angelicvampyre is perfect!  And today I bought fish!

Pretty!

Well, ok, the cords and gardening gloves in the background don't look so hot, but the fish are pretty!  :~D

[livejournal.com profile] suehypno and those of you with big fishtank setups...try not to laugh too hard, ok?

Love the pic!! You're work is always so detailed!! And the fishtank is uber cute!! (Just be careful, if thats a beta fish they do have a tendency to kill other fish!) Congrats!

Hah! A what? Daughter has just signed up to do Animal Science as an elective at school next year. Guess what that includes? DUCKS. Oh yeah. Might as well start planning the hutch now... ;~P

Ah, an empty-nester is someone who is grieving for her children who have grown and gone. Your nest will never be empty!

Do you mean the siamese fighting fish? The big blue one? I had one in a tank with guppies and neons...admittedly it was a long time ago...but they lived happily together for yrs. Hopefully these guys will work out ok. I'm just terrified I'll come out in the morning and find them all dead! O.o

Oh, I know what an empty-nester is. I was just laughing at the concept of my house ever being that way. ;~D

Those Easter Island heads are GREAT!!! I miss having fish - they're so relaxing to just sit and watch them. :)

He will definitely leave the neons alone. It's only the male guppy he might take offense to.

OMG! *covets green betta in 2nd pic*

You could try getting a sheet of background graphics for the tank so as to hide all the wires etc ;)

I wasn't sure if it was a beta or not, but since it's not, and you've had them before, I'm sure it'll be fine :D!! It's a wonderful array of colors, great selection!

Aw, I'm not laughing, I'm just smiling really big. Congrats!

The real key to having a healthy and attractive is doing frequent partial water changes. Every 2 weeks remove about 1/3 of the water and replace with treated new water. And then change the filter every 4-5 weeks.

Oh, you might want to keep an eye on the beta--he might go after all that pretty finage of the male guppies. They can be a bit nippy under certain circumstances, but generally make good community fish.
