Harry and Ginny playing chess in the Common Room.

This painting was commissioned as a header for this site.
It's a scene from Imogen's story, Carpe Diem, which can be found at the above site or here. :~)
What did excite me was, when you look at this banner on Imogen's site there is a thumbnail of Ginny from a painting I did a while ago just underneath... and both Ginny's look like older/younger versions of the same person! :~D

Book!Ginny I don't like at all..but the Ginny you portray in this painting actually looks warm and compassionate and caring.

Er, the chessboard is only seven squares across from foreground to back?

And the background is equally amazing. The little details and knick knacks and dude! The fire looks amazing! It almost looks like it's flickering. *mesmerized* Your lighting is incredible, I especially love how you used light play on the chess pieces and the red back-board of the chess board.
And also! The little picture on older!Ginny totally looks just like her younger version. Yay, unintended consistency! <3 <3 <3

Now I have to ask - did you ever do a painting of Ron and Hermione playing chess?

And, no, I can't say I've ever done a pic of Ron and Hermione playing chess.
