Harry and Ginny playing chess in the Common Room.

This painting was commissioned as a header for this site.

It's a scene from Imogen's story, Carpe Diem, which can be found at the above site or here. :~)

What did excite me was, when you look at this banner on Imogen's site there is a thumbnail of Ginny from a painting I did a while ago just underneath... and both Ginny's look like older/younger versions of the same person! :~D

yay - Harry is all gryffindor colours, and Ginny is all 'make my jumper green, mum' so she goes with his eyes, and Harry is probably going to lose, because she is so pretty, and he is so used to losing to red hair and freckles....

I love Ginny's face in this--it's very realistic. Harry's great as well, but so many Ginnys are just impossibly beautiful, while this one just has a wonderful natural beauty to her.

This is just fantastic. I love the colors and the attention to detail.

*jaw drops as usual*

I love it!

I remember the other Ginny pic, too, it had Harry and a baby too if I remember right....

Wow this is gorgeous! It's almost enough to turn me into a Harry/Ginny shipper! ;) Both of them are beautifully rendered and natural looking.

BTW, hello! I have just friended you; I got here originally by randomly clicking around on friends of friends, and I'm so impressed with your artwork. You are really talented! :)

I just love you you do faces and how you approach details. And their clothes look so soft! Oh and Ginny's hair... beautiful!

Wow! I just love your depiction of Ginny. Its beautiful and her expression- seems like she's purposely distracting Harry from the game so she can win!

Beautiful! I love your Ginny - so much warmth and depth. Gorgeous hair!

Beautiful, one of the best Ginny's I've seen.

Now that's a Ginny I could love.

Book!Ginny I don't like at all..but the Ginny you portray in this painting actually looks warm and compassionate and caring.

Oh, what an absolutely gorgeous Ginny. The little details in this piece are remarkable. Fabulous. :-)

I love it! One of the reasons I love your work so much is how much attention you put into details. The chess set is incredibly well done. Both Harry & Ginny look great. I love her hair and her eyes, what a warm stare. It's truly gorgeous!

Great picture, as always Leela. Thank you for posting! :D

I do so love all the effort and dedication you put into every piece. You've always got all your bases covered to phenomenal proportions. The smallest detail is never left out or pushed aside. And that is a very unique and wonderful trait.

This is, as always, absolutely beautiful.

Wow, this is wonderful! Fireplaces and warm atmospheres get me every time. :) And Ginny's eyes are glistening, wow.

Always good to see your H/G art. I quite like Ginny's face in this one, more freckle than not. Although chess seems a bit of a...cerebral...activity for those two to partake in. At least it would be less one-sided than the games with Ron.

Er, the chessboard is only seven squares across from foreground to back?

This is lovely; the Ginny here is *REAL*; 'natural' beauty as fernwithy has already said, much better. Very nice, thank you for posting this!

This is the first Ginny I've seen in looong time that I've actually liked - very nice!

Eee *dances* This is so gorgeous and it just gives me a warm happy gushy feeling inside. They're all warm and cozy and happily playing chess, like eee! I love how peaceful and pleasant they both look, it just adds to that quiet sublimeness that happens late and night when everyone else is gone. Bless.

And the background is equally amazing. The little details and knick knacks and dude! The fire looks amazing! It almost looks like it's flickering. *mesmerized* Your lighting is incredible, I especially love how you used light play on the chess pieces and the red back-board of the chess board.

And also! The little picture on older!Ginny totally looks just like her younger version. Yay, unintended consistency! <3 <3 <3

Wow... You draw an amazing Ginny. She looks wondeful in that picture. The fire and the chess set are so well done. Excellent job! (I've visited your LJ before, and I'm a member of your yahoo group, but I don't think I've really replied to your art here before...)

Wow -- am not a H/G fan, but I think this pic is gorgeous :D

Lovely. :D I like how the firelight reflects on them.

I can't get over how naturally gorgeous your Ginny is. This is a really great piece of art. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the thumbnail of an earlier drawing you did of her because I really would like to see the similarty. Still, just wanted to compliment you on your beautiful art!

This is a beautiful piece of art. One can practically feel the warmth.

Now I have to ask - did you ever do a painting of Ron and Hermione playing chess?

And, no, I can't say I've ever done a pic of Ron and Hermione playing chess.
