Sorry about the lack of LJ cut. I don't know why it isn't working. As far as I can tell the html is correct. *contemplates simply deleting post for the 3rd time* I had several pics to post but that doesn't seem to be an option at the moment.

I meant to mention - it was commissioned for a fanfic ("Daddy's Girl") by Drie, which can be found at Phoenixsong.net
In it Harry and Ginny have a baby and are both about 18. Harry is singing and dancing with the baby, hence the kind of goofy look on his face. ;~)

Oh god, the baby...... I want to snuggle the baby!!!! And I like the detail through the window on the door. Oh, and the perspective that you have, where you can see just a bit of the stairs and just a bit of the counter thingie on the left. I could just gush all day!!

I did the sketch by hand, scanned it into the comp, and did the rest in Photoshop. With my beloved Wacom of course. *cuddles wacom* It was an enormous file (over 200meg) and my comp kept crashing, which was NOT fun. :~( I have to increase my RAM dramatically and very soon. :~)

That's lovely! Harry! Baby! Ginny! So amazing. And the details are so ipressive! The backgrounds, the plates in the cupboards, the scenes outside, the lighting on the wall and the stairs -- excellent!

Also, I dunno if this will work at all, but maybe if you try closing the cut tag after the picture? You know, [/lj-cut] I doubt it'll work, but worth a try, eh?

Beautiful picture! I immediately went to your yahoo site and had a look at the closeups - particularly loved the one of Ginny!

I also tried to find the fic to see where the picture fits in, but it doesn't seem to be on Phoenix.net. I eventually googled it and found it on another site, but couldn't read it as you need to be registered... Do you by any chance know what's going on there?!

Yes, the site is registration only. I did think the fic was up at PhoenixSong as well as it is an outtake for a fic which is up there. Sorry I can't help you more.

This particular piece is very striking. I love the expression on Harry's face, and the indulgent look on Ginny's; the baby is adorable as well. The details in the background, the wrinkles in the clothing and the way you can just see hints of the fire lighting the hearth... the picture really comes alive. It's superbly done.

By SW novels do you mean Zines? I've done quite a few zines but I haven't done any of the art on the pro novels (I wish!).
Regarding the credits for PoA - I think you'll be hard pressed following the little feet on the small screen, but we'll see I guess. It's not coming out here (in Australia till December! :~( )

That was largely deliberate. Women age (or should I say mature?) quite dramatically with the birth of their first baby. It astounds me every time I see it. And new mums have a special vulnerability to them which I tried to capture as well.

I love this. I especially LOVE LOVE LOVE your Harry. He looks a lot like Daniel's Harry and he's just ... so so cute. The expression on his face is just adorable and you've captured it so well.
