This is a gift for [livejournal.com profile] maeglinyedi. A thankyou for the invaluable help she has given me over the last couple of days regarding our dog. And it just happened to coincide with her birthday!! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [livejournal.com profile] maeglinyedi!!

I've been watching your journal and your art for a while now and never really commenten, for which I'm sorry....

This is such a wonderful piece!!!
I love the fur, the way Harry's t-shirt stretches and just the sheer look on his face!

Thankyou! I'm so glad you took the time to comment and that you liked the pic! :~)

I especially love the Wolfhound quality to Moony's head and the laughing expression on Padfoot.

Dogs do smile...

I'm glad you liked it and, yes, dogs definitely DO smile! ;~)

That is great! Perhaps that could've been reality had it not been for Voldemort (grr), Pettigrew (double grr), and Bellatrix Lestrange (shoots a bow through her picture).

Lupin's wolf form looks very realistic, unlike the movie version. I love how you drew and painted Padfoot. :)

Thanks! Yes, the werewolf form in the movie bothered me a lot - mostly cos it looked like an oversized chihauhua! Hairless, bug-eyed, domed forehead... and we all know how terrifying chihauhuas are. NOT. :~P
Plus, I'm pretty sure the book implies that the difference between a real wolf and a werewolf was subtle.
Glad you enjoyed the pic!

This is so adorable! Moony's werewolf form looks like I imagined, not the crappy thing they had in the movie. Their expressions and the fur..and Harry's glasses...great!

This is precious!!!! The expression on Moony's face is so tender, and Padfoot looks as mischievous as he does adoring. Beautiful work, Kate. Absolutely beautiful.

Gorgeous art. I don't even have words. This probably became my favorite of yours. I really love Moony and Padfoot here.

Thanks! I've drawn very little Marauder art, so it was lovely to have a go at Moony and Padfoot. :~)

I've been loving your art for a little over a year now. Yep, I'm a long time lurker. But this is my favourite of your works to date. The joy in their expressions is so uplifting, even the non-human expressions. All that hair is wonderful, and even the detail in the drool is great. I've just woken up this morning with a bit of a hangover, but still I am currently smiling all over my face.

This is such a stunning pic, and what a fabulous birthday present for Maeg! Moony and Padfoot are perfect, all strength and movement, and Harry's face! I'm just blown away by how beautiful it is. Lovely, lovely work.

Thankyou so much! And a lot of the joy expressed in this painting was what I was feeling after Maeglin's help with our dog. :~)

That's beautiful! I love Moony -- much more what I pictured over the movie version. And Harry's expression is great.

Pardon my cut and paste from one of my replies above but to save you trying to hunt that down - the werewolf form in the movie bothered me a lot - mostly cos it looked like an oversized chihauhua! Hairless, bug-eyed, domed forehead... and we all know how terrifying chihauhuas are. NOT. :~P

Aiee, I'm dying of suspense from your Tattooine fic! Do you have any plans for working on it in the near future? I can't wait for more!
And the fur on Moony and Padfoot is BEAUTIFUL. It flows really well, like real fur. ^_^

I felt the urge to write and opened that file a week ago... and wicked Muse deserted me! I wrote nothing. :~( So not fair....

Glad you liked the pic though! :~)

That is, oh god, so beautiful. I love it. The picture is so full of joy! The fur on Moony's face/head is very well-done, it looks almost real. And -- the picture is just so happy. Lovely!

What a beautiful piece of art. I really can't single anything out from it to highlightbecause the whole thing is excellent. I do love Harry's glasses which look so real, and his expression is perfectly happy.

Thank you
