On a completely different note - it seems I am able to get Rich text on Firefox again!  YAY!

Oh, and daughter and I saw our first live eclectus today!  We've only seen them in docos or on youtube to date, but we went to the bird store we got Spike from to stock up on some birdy stuff today, and there this stunning creature was - a beautiful female eclectus!  This is daughter's dream parrot; she has wanted one for a couple of years now.  Although her preference is for a male bird, I'll admit I adore the gorgeous scarlet and blue of the females.  This one squawked a couple of times (though it was mostly quiet - just watching) and it was pretty ear-piercing!  (Great for endearing us to the neighbours!  *is wicked* )  

Now, we just need to win Tattslotto....  ;~P

awwww they are all kinds of gorgeous.
We know someone through the reptile group we were a part of that had a female eclectus. *g* She was beautiful but a bit cranky on the day we saw her as she'd just been to the vet for an injection.
She was very closely bonded with Brock though and would get jealous of females near him.

Harry and Rupert are mad at me. They think I am responsible for our change in the weather. Fall is blowing heavy wind, it's cold and rainy and my boys are stubbornly demanding for the balcony anyway. *sighs*

As it is, we three of us would love to visit you in sunny australia and play with your cute little birdys. Although I woundn't trust Harry with any bild ;)

Hee - cute wet birdies!! And oh - you have a new one?? I must have missed seeing that while I was having computer problems. My Pippin loves water. He's always wanting to jump into my water glass by the computer even! lol

How amazing that the male and female parrots are so different. They're both beautiful, but the red and blue female is just gorgeous!

Aww look at him! So cute! Our Pippin tried to bath in a glass once and had a bit of a near death experience, so he hasn't done it since. That said, he and Luna do insist on having a taste of the water in my glass at breakfast every morning. ;~P

Yes, my daughter bought a new girl - Belle - a little while ago, and we've got a cockatiel baby on order! Spike needs a friend desperately - he's fallen in love with Luna and it's the most tragic thing ever. He sings and bows to her, follows her everywhere, and Luna couldn't care less cos she only has eyes for Pippin! Poor Spike. Talk about unrequited love!
