500mb I think...

It's just a freewebs. :~\

Well, I don't think so, because I only have the thumbnails on the site. The pics are on Photobucket. So if someone was hotlinking that would mess up Photobucket, yes?

Hmmm. I don't know a thing about computers or bandwith or anything like that, so I wish I could help more. I just know so many sites I visit tend to go down in the second half of the month.

If you have true thumbnails(that increase in size when you click them) they are also on your site not just photobucket.

It is amazing what people will steal bandwith for. My ultimate squick happened when several wolf photos I used for avatars were instead used by two charming groups. Group A's members thought they were real life werewolves and Group B were furries.

Easy fix on the bandwith stealing is to rename you pictures often and with a tag that is not easily found on google. After my werecreature and furry experiences I have taken to every so often changing a letter on my gif and jpg names.

But the thumbnails link to the photobucket images. I haven't loaded the larger versions onto the website at all.

Interesting method of foiling hotlinking. :~)

Do you need somewhere to host your stuff? I have tons of disk space and more bandwidth than i will ever use...

Thankyou SO much for the kind offer! [livejournal.com profile] crumbcake offered me something similar nearly 12 months ago, but I just didn't know what I was doing and...well... :~( My problem is I don't know how. *sigh* I'm a visual learner, and I know if I could watch someone I'd catch on pretty quickly. I have difficulties with the (web) language too. I wanted to do a short web course last yr, but it would have cost $500 and just couldn't afford it.

I bought Dreamweaver, so I really SHOULD make an effort.

Re: Friendly reminder...

I know. :~) And I'm not ignoring that, but I do need a proper website where I can put all my fannish shite. ;~P
I just need the time to sit down and organise my files to upload to your site.

Re: Friendly reminder...

Geocities isn't really all that bad or expensive - especially if you're hosting images. Images will eat up your bandwith before you know it at most free sites.
