Ok. Here it is! Yes. The one you were waiting for. :~D The one I drew in response to the stunning review (to be found here http://www.livejournal.com/users/leelastarsky/31513.html ) that I got for the Harry, Ginny and baby pic. I don't think this is Harry and Ginny; I prefer to think of it as James, Harry and Lily.
It's just a sketch, but if you wait for me to finish it you might not see it for months. :~P

Oh, and yes, I've drawn on personal experience for this pic. I breastfed 4 children. :~D

My kids were all very posessive of my boobs, so of course their Dad would tease them by threatening to suck on the other one, which would then turn into something of a game. That foot in the pic above would quickly be used to push Daddy away by kicking him in the face. Daddy would then throw himself melodramatically away, which bub would think was the funniest thing ever. :~P You know how they LOVE thinking they've hurt you. ;~)

Ah! I had to comp-feed #1 son formula for the first 6 weeks (cos he couldn't suck properly) as well as breastfeed. All that sterilising of bottles and mixing formula... *shudders* I'm way too lazy. :~P Breastfeeding was much easier for me. :~)

Thanks! Yes, once they get past 6months they're very easily distracted and tend to twist their head in every direction cos they're afraid of missing something. Of course, they don't let go of the nipple while they do this. ;~P

Oh I could drown in the cuteness and the boobyness. That is definately about a 9 month baby, yanking on the nipple while he takes his sweet time eating and watching everything. I am going to show this pic to my la leache group if you don't mind. I don't know why people concider nursing to be discusting. Thats what them boobs are there for!

It is just the branch of the la leache league that meets at the baby's birth hospital. We meet about every three weeks to discuss how things are doing. We talk about stuff, eat cookies, and generally babble about our babies. Thanks for letting me show this though. Breastfeeding is beautiful!

O.o; Oddly enough, the thought that hit me when I first saw this wasn't James/Lily with Harry but Arthur/Molly and one of their many children. The guy has some Potter characteristics, but.. I can also see Weasley in him, just as well... o.O Still love it though *coos at the baby*

It's very lovely and domestic and natural and pure, but that looks painful.... I don't know if I could ever do that.

Not that I've ever had any aspirations to ever be a mother... Horse mum, maybe. I go all gooey over a new born foal the way most women go gooey over a baby. I've never had a gooey baby moment in my life. To tell the truth, new borns kind of freak me out.

Doesn't change the fact that this is a wonderful moment you've captured on paper. And you've captured it beautifully.

Weeeeeeeeeeeell, it can be painful. Until your nipples toughen up, breastfeeding can be downright ugly. ;~P First 6 weeks tend to be the worst but, once you're over that, it's great. :~D

Though I have no personal experience with breastfeeding (yet), this scenario is very familiar. My niece would do the same thing, all the way down to kicking anyone who came too close. She took especial delight in beating her father's face out of the way!

It's beautiful. A very wonderful, domestic scene, and so sweet, especially the cheeky grin on the baby's face. I love the name of the pic too!

BTW, I too thought it was Arthur, Molly and one of the kids. Her face reminded me of "It's a Girl." I didn't get Potter family at all...

I love this so much! It makes me miss the days when my little girl was tiny and could be contained on my lap. Not anymore. :))

I want to see this as Lily/James/Harry because I always like to think of Harry being really, really loved as a baby - and not that he could really remember it, but it's still there.

(any time someone writes a fic with wizard babies being bottlefed it drives me nuts. It seems a really Muggle thing to do - I'm not bashing anyone who does it irl, but it just doesn't seem soemthing that a witch would do.)
