hp_fringeart they are having this irresistible challenge - January 2006 Challenge: Imitation of a Famous Artwork. And, well, I couldn't resist. So, as a birthday treat, I indulged myself, and this was the result -

I decided to work this as a bit of a bathing scene, hence the fact that Harry, Ron and Hermione are all wearing togs. In fact I was originally going to place them at the Burrow, but the lure of a castle in the background was too seductive to pass up! ;~) So they're in the Lake. I think they've just got out and are drying off, which is why Hermione is wearing a flimsy sort of wrap, and trying to cover Ginny (who is shameless!). Harry is way too excited by naked Ginny and Ron is trying to stop him from reaching naked Ginny! :~D
I have spent WAY too much time on this, but it was wonderful to do. And I already have another one in mind!! *headdesk*
Here's some closeups because Harry came out looking like a total perv and so you can see that Ron and Ginny do in fact have freckles! :~D

I love the scene you put together - with that excited Harry - Hermione's actions seems so in character... Ginny is lovely... and half naked blokes on brooms? hot! LOL
The whole things flows so well - I love the warmth of the skin and ginger hair against that gray background and castle. Bravo!

There is a reason you are my favourite HP artist.
And that befoe me is a prime example.
That is brilliant.
I adore the freckles on Ginny's shoulders and chest, and the side profile of Hermione- the wrinkles of her dress are amazing!!!
Ron's muscles and the path of hair peaking out of Harry's shorts.

I absolutely adore that painting to boot, and your version is amazing. I seriously want to print it out and hang on my wall. wow. love their faces most of all, though everything's absolutely stunning.
