Have just been listening to the snippits from the OotP soundtrack.  Got to track 15. The Ministry of Magic ... and it sounds like the intro to Les Mis!  Seriously.
Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to hearing the whole thing!

It does sound very Les Mis! It is going to be a heartbreaking soundtrack! Just reading the description for the Sirius scenes made me teary!

Ah! Being a musician myself, I enjoyed these clips immensely, and really enjoyed the descriptions just as much!! Thank you SO much for sharing. I will be listening to them again...

I heard the clips earlier. I can't comment on the Les Mes reference (sad, I know) but I'm definitely looking forward to listening to the whole album. It sounds very promising.

I've not heard any of his work before, so I'm not sure what to expect. I'm hoping it will be good !

This will be his firsts major motion picture score, but he scored the music for The Girl in the Café, which is one of the best films of the decade (in my opinion). BBC/HBO OTP.

Yes, exactly. I've often thought that song could fit HP! Have always wanted to do an animation to it. Not having the time and knowhow is of course a major drawback. ;~P
