Something I just thought of and was wondering if anyone else got this impression -

when they're interrogating Crouch Jr at the end of the film and look at the Dark Mark on his arm, they seem to compare it to the cut on Harry's. And Crouch says something like "You show me yours and I'll show you mine!" I got the impression they were implying that Harry had been given the Dark Mark, which alarmed me a bit.

Anyone else feel that?

Also, the look between Snape and Crouch Jr right at the end there... HBP foreshadowing or what?! :~)

I was a bit WTFy about that too. I didn't think they were implying that he had the Dark Mark, but they were definitely implying something...something I didn't get.

Right this very second my brain just said 'The cut marked him as his equal!' but we already know that's what his normal scar is for. So yeah, no clue.

I didn't even understand that scene, to be honest O_o

That look was the BEST. Rickman really captured the moment with that expression. I got chills, and yes, I immediately thought of HBP.

That whole bit once Dumbledore showed up was just strange, and yes, I did sort of think they were trying to imply that the cut was either A dark mark, or similar to the dark mark, or... I dunno, something. Something weird.

He could just have been talking to Snape and Dumbledore, being a twat, simply misunderstood. It would have made sense for him to be talking to Snape.

I've watched the movie 6 times now and I still WTF at that scene. It doesn't make any sense to me. The emo-kid-esque cut was on Harry's right arm though, yeah?

Well, wasn't it DD that grabbed Harry's arm and looked at it? And isnt he supposed to be allknowing and powerful? So... maybe he put 2 and 2 together, andn seeing the way the DarkMark looked on CrouchMoody's arm, figured that Voldypants was back, and DD just knew that Voldypants needed Harry's blood, and so grabbed his arm to see if in fact it had been cut.

I mean, that's what I got out of it.

*puts silencio charm back on myself*

That was my interpreatation, too, but why am I remembering Snape grabbing Harry's arm? Wishful thinking, I guess. :D The scene didn't work as well as it could have, though, so it is really confusing.

I honestly don't remember who grabbed Harry's arm, and, I cant' for the life of me remember the scene with Snape/Crouch. I think this calls for another viewing!

Yeah, I didn't get that either. I didn't think he was implying he had been given the Dark Mark, but given that Barty wasn't there, how did he know that was where Peter cut him to get the blood? I mean he could have stabbed him anywhere.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't really get that.

He did get it in a way. The cut in Harry's arm was made into the shape of the Dark Mark.

When I saw it, I didnt think anything of the DM. Barty Jr is a sick, twisted man, and probably just wanted to see what Voldemort did to Harry.

:O

Oh my...you know I thought it weird as well! I mean...I always wondered...but I think you could be right...thies WB people can be....spooky! ;)

I thought it was just to get them to look at Harry's arm, both so all could see the bloody evidence of Voldemort's return alongside the mark.

i thought the same thing. i've re-watched it a few times now, to see if there was some subtle peripheral info that i missed... and if there was i'm still missing it. the allusion being made, to me, was that harry's cut was a sort of dark mark.
